In this department later held executive positions, and then stood at the helm of the Department of Internal Affairs of various regions. So, in 1999-2001 he was deputy head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Executive Committee, in 2001-2005 he headed the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee of the Internal Affairs Directorate, and in 2005 - the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
